The right to buy scheme allows a secure tenant who has held a local authority tenancy for a specified length of time to purchase their property at a discounted price.
After you receive your section 125 notice we would be able to carry out a Homebuyers Survey and Valuation of your property. This will provide an overall opinion of the general condition of the property, urgent matters that are a threat to the fabric of the property, significant matters that could affect the valuation of the property, a market valuation and re-building costs for insurance purposes.
Where your property has been too highly valued by the council, this report may assist in negotiations to obtain a reduction in the valuation.
